The Advantages of Free E-Books

Peacock - Beautiful, Intelligence, Deadly, and Insane.

Peacock – Beautiful, Intelligence, Deadly, and Insane.

Once a year before I push my latest e-book, I put my older novels on Kindle Free as part of the Kindle Direct program. I did that late last night at 9:00 p.m. for a Monday through Thursday promotion. The results are piling up already.

By noon Free E-book Daily blog featured Madness – The Second Book of the Peacock Trilogy as their feature book for August 18th. I did an interview with them by 2:00 p.m. It runs on their blog tomorrow. Madness, as you may recall, received a 5-Star review from Writers’ Digest.

Then I checked my Amazon page to find that The Fifth Step moved into #9 on the Kindle psycho-thriller list. This is one sweet advantage of being with Kindle Direct. I’m getting a good push from my London and Australian readers as well where I have a good following.

I fully expect to have an increase in book reviews from having the free e-books out there. I also expect a quick jump in the sales of all my novels when the giveaway is over. It is a win/win situation.

In my next post, I will go back to scarring you all about the possibility of a Yellowstone Volcanic.eruption.

  1. There are quite a few of us who can’t wait for the next Bill Wetterman Novel to reach the free-stage. I’m reading Literary Murders now and planning my next crime.
